After the fifth season, Harbhajan Singh was replaced by Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma is the current captain of the team and Mahela Jayawardene is the head coach.

Brand Value of Mumbai Indians (MI):
As per the Duffs and Phelps’ annual IPL Brand Valuation Report, the brand value of MI was estimated at around ₹809 crores in 2019. Which is the highest among all IPL franchises for the fourth consecutive year.
Mumbai Indians, who have won five IPL titles, are still at the top of the list of most valuable franchises in the IPL in 2020. However, the brand value of Mumbai Indians has also declined by 5.9% over last year. The brand value of the franchise in 2019 is Rs 761 crore.
The main reason behind this is that the IPL matches of 2020 were held in a spectator-free stadium which resulted in a loss of revenue to the franchises as well as epidemics affecting business ties which affected the brand value of the teams.
