On Thursday, Cricket West Indies announced a 15-man squad for the T20 world cup 2021. In a big surprise, spinner Sunil Narine was left out. Kieron Pollard will lead the West Indies team and Nicholas Pooran will be his deputy.
Ravi Rampaul, who last played for the West Indies in 2015, has been selected in the West Indies squad for the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup.
Rampal is doing a very impressive job in the ongoing CPL. He has taken 17 wickets in eight matches at an average of 13 and 7.20 in the economy.
All-rounder Roston Chase is a regular player in the West Indies Test team. Now Chase received his first international T20 call-up.
He has been included in the squad for the T20 after an outstanding performance in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League. The all-rounder has scored 281 runs from 7 matches at an average of 70.25 with a strike rate of 151.07.

Chris Gayle, 42, has been selected in West Indies’ 2021 T20 World Cup squad along with two-time T20 World Cup winners Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell, and Lendl Simmons.
The 2021 T20 World Cup is set to begin on October 17 in the UAE and Oman. The West Indies are the only team to have won the tournament twice.
The two-time winners West Indies have been placed in Group 1 along with England, Australia, South Africa, and two qualifying teams. They will start their 2021 T20 World Cup journey against England on October 23 in Dubai.
