Cricket West Indies (CWI) on Monday (August) announced a 17-member provisional squad for the upcoming Test series against Pakistan, starting from Thursday, August 12. This series will be the first series for both teams in the new cycle of the World Test Championship (2021-2023).
The West Indies cricket selection committee has recalled pacer Chemar Holder and middle-order batsman Shamarh Brooks for the Test series.
Holder made his Test debut in New Zealand last year but has not been seen in the squad since. He is returning to the Test squad after almost a year of recovering from an injury.
