Last Sunday (25th July), the full schedule of the remaining matches of the 2021 IPL has been announced. According to the new schedule, the rest of the tournament will start with a match between last year’s champion Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians and MS Dhoni’s CSK.

The remaining matches of the 2021 IPL are going to start from September 19. And according the KKR match schedule, the two-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will play its first match on September 20 against RCB. The remaining matches of VIVO IPL 2021 will be played in Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

According to the announced schedule, the rest of the tournament will start with the match of Mumbai vs Chennai on 19th September. Qualifier-1 will play on 10th October, in Dubai. The eliminator will be played on 11st October, in Sharjah. The qualifier-2 will be played on 13th October, Sharjah. The final match will be held on 15th October in Dubai.
Kolkata, led by Eoin Morgan, are seventh in the points table with just four points from seven matches before the BCCI postponed the IPL to mid-2021.

Under head coach Brendon McCullum, Kolkata Knight Riders will have to play a different brand of cricket to finish in the top four in the IPL 2021. Meanwhile, KKR will miss the services of their main fast bowler Pat Cummins and may also miss their captain Eoin Morgan.
