The T20 World Cup event started in 2007 and India won the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup under the leadership of MS Dhoni.

ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Schedule:
Originally, the T20 World Cup was scheduled to start in 2020. However, it was postponed due to the Covid-19 epidemic. It was later decided that the postponed World Cup would be held in India in 2021. But considering the current Covid-19 situation in India, the event of the T20 World Cup was shifted to the UAE.
The T20 World Cup 2021 tournament will take place in a total of 4 venues in the UAE and Oman, Muscat, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will still have the right to host the event.
