2021 is the 9th edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced the CPL 2021 Schedule for the 9th edition. The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2021 will be held from 26 August and the Final will be on 15 September.
The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is also a popular T20 league. Players from several well-known countries have taken part in this T20 league.
Earlier, the CPL 2021 was scheduled to start on August 28 and the final was scheduled to be held on September 19. In that case, many players would not be able to play in the rest of the UAE IPL 2021. As a result, there will be a shortage of foreign players in the IPL teams. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, some foreign players have already said that they will not participate in the rest of the 2021 IPL.
That’s why the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) formally requested the CWI to make some changes in the time frame of the CPL 2021 schedule.
Cricket West Indies has honored this request. Following the request, the West Indies Board made some changes to the CPL 2021 schedule and announced a new schedule.
According to that schedule, CPL 2021 will start from 26th August. In the first match of the tour, Guyana Amazon Warriors will fight with defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders.
